High Quality Ferrosilicon Magnesium FeSiMg7Re1

FeSiMg7Re1 is the same family as our FeSiMg6Re1, pushed up to a magnesium window of 6 to 8 percent. That extra magnesium is there for a reason: when the base iron carries more sulphur, or the section is thick and slow to cool, a leaner nodulariser runs out of magnesium before the reaction is finished. This one keeps enough in the melt to see the job through.

Two things happen at once. The magnesium takes the oxygen and the sulphur out of the iron, and the silicon carries the addition in without the violent flare of pure magnesium. Because the two temper each other, the loss to fume is smaller and the magnesium yield stays steady heat after heat. It goes in as lumps in the treatment ladle, as granules through a feeder, or as cored wire.

Lumps normally ship in 1 MT jumbo bags; wire and granule customers get their own packing. Each lot is analysed before dispatch, so the COA matches the bag it travels in.

Six or seven percent magnesium? Take the 7 when the sulphur is high or the section is heavy; otherwise the 6 is the usual pick.
