High Magnesium Silicon Alloy

Magnesium Silicon Alloy, also known as Ferrosilicon Magnesium (FeSiMg), is the exclusive dedicated nodularizer for ductile iron production. It contains active magnesium that converts flake graphite into spherical graphite structure, dramatically improving the toughness, strength and ductility of cast iron. Used in combination with 75# ferrosilicon as inoculant, it is irreplaceable in modern ductile iron foundries.

FAQ

Q: Which Mg grade should I choose? A: For small to medium castings with normal sulfur content, FeSiMg6 is the most widely used. For high-sulfur base iron or large-section castings, FeSiMg8 or FeSiMg10 with higher residual magnesium is recommended.

Q: Do you have RE-free grade? A: Yes. We supply low-RE and RE-free nodularizers for customers producing castings for European markets with strict rare earth restrictions.

Q: What is the shelf life? A: In unopened dry packaging, shelf life is 12 months. Magnesium gradually oxidizes if exposed to moisture, so sealed storage is required. We provide fully moisture-proof packaging for ocean shipment.
