Products Description
Silicon Metal 421 combines high Si with low Al (Al ≤0.2%), making it a common grade for steel deoxidation, silicon steel and special alloy smelting. It raises silicon while minimizing aluminium pickup, reducing Al2O3 inclusions and nozzle clogging risk. Supplied in bulk to steel plants, foundries and ferroalloy producers, our 421 is controlled heat by heat for both chemistry and size, and suits tender-based or annual-contract procurement.
Chemical Composition
Si is a guaranteed minimum; Fe / Al / Ca / P / S are guaranteed maximums. Production follows GB/T 2881 and can be cross-checked against ASTM A1005 and ISO 5449. Special compositions outside the table can be produced to your internal specification. "Typical" values are recent batch averages; the Mill Test Certificate of each shipment prevails.

Packing, Shipping & Certification
Packing: 1,000 kg jumbo bags with moisture-proof inner liner, or 25 kg small bags on pallets. Powder grades are packed in valve bags with stretch-wrapped pallets to prevent moisture uptake in transit.
Container loading: 20–25 MT per 20′FCL in jumbo bags. Bags are sealed and photographed, and the full loading process is video-recorded for buyer verification.
Delivery: 7–10 days for standard specifications, 15–20 days for customized sizes. FOB Tianjin / Qingdao; CFR and CIF to your nominated port available.

Q: Should I use 421 or 553 for steel deoxidation?
A: It depends on your steel grade's Al and Ca limits. Standard carbon steels and aluminium-tolerant grades can use 553 at lower cost. Silicon steel, low-aluminium grades and high-sequence casting benefit from 421 (Al ≤0.2%), which reduces Al2O3 inclusions and nozzle clogging. We can recommend the most economical grade against your steel grade and sequence targets, and provide a trial quantity first.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: One 20′FCL, about 20–25 MT. For trial purposes we accept 5 MT trial orders or a mixed container with different grades.
Q: What payment and trade terms do you offer?
A: Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit with 70% against B/L copy, or 100% L/C at sight. O/A 30 days can be discussed for long-term partners. We quote FOB Tianjin / Qingdao, CFR and CIF; quotations are normally valid for 7 days.
