Q1: What is the difference between High Carbon Silicon and Ferro Silicon?

A: High Carbon Silicon (Si68C18) contains both Si (≥68%) and C (≥18%), delivering deoxidation AND carburization in one product. FeSi 75 only provides Si (72–78%) with minimal C. Using HC Silicon 68 can replace the combination of FeSi + separate carburizer, reducing cost by up to 30%.

Q2: Can HC Silicon 68 replace Silicon Carbide (SiC)?

A: Yes. HC Silicon 68 is a cost-effective alternative to SiC in many steelmaking and casting applications, providing similar deoxidation and carburization benefits at a lower price point.

Q3: What size options are available?
A: 0–3mm, 3–10mm, 10–50mm standard sizes; 10–100mm and custom sizes available. Powder (0–3mm) for injection metallurgy; 10–50mm lumps for converter steelmaking.
