High Carbon Silicon 65

Si65C15 High Carbon Silicon is produced from the by-product of silicon metal smelting, refined into lump, granule or powder form. Its high Si content (≥65%) rapidly reacts with dissolved oxygen in molten steel, improving steel cleanliness and hardness; the built-in carbon (≥15%) simultaneously adjusts carbon levels without a separate recarburizer. This dual action reduces alloy consumption, shortens tapping time, and improves furnace temperature uniformity. Every batch is lab-tested before shipment to ensure Si and C stay within a tight ±1–2% tolerance, giving steel mills and foundries the consistency required for repeatable production.

We supply Si65C15 in multiple size ranges. Oversize + undersize (powder) ratio is controlled to ≤10% per industry standard
