Q1: Why choose Si50C18 instead of separate recarburizer + ferrosilicon?
A: Si50C18 delivers higher carbon recovery rate (≥80%) than ordinary recarburizer, and completes silicon supplement + recarburization + deoxidation in one feeding. Comprehensive cost is 15%–22% lower than separate purchase, with simpler on-site operation.
Q2: What is the carbon absorption rate in actual production?
A: Under normal converter tapping process, carbon recovery rate is stable at 80%–85%, silicon recovery rate about 80%. Exact data varies slightly with furnace type, temperature and steel grade. We can provide reference calculation based on your process parameters.
Q3: Can it be used for cast iron foundries?
A: Yes. It is widely used for grey iron and malleable cast iron production as pre-furnace recarburizer and auxiliary inoculant, replacing part of pig iron to reduce melting cost. It is not recommended for ductile iron spheroidization process.
Q4: What is your MOQ?
A: Trial order MOQ is 20MT (one 20ft container). Mixed loading with small amount of other ferroalloys is acceptable for first trial purchase.
