Ferrosilicon production process. The ferrosilicon production process mainly includes ironmaking, smelting, casting and processing.
1. Ironmaking: Through the blast furnace ironmaking process, iron ore is reduced to iron to obtain pig iron. This is one of the raw materials of ferrosilicon.
2. Smelting: Ferrosilicon is obtained by smelting reaction between pig iron and high-purity silica. During the smelting process, factors such as reaction temperature, reaction time, and raw material ratio need to be controlled to ensure the quality and composition of ferrosilicon.
3. Casting: Pour the molten ferrosilicon obtained from smelting into the mold, and solidify by cooling to obtain ferrosilicon blocks.
4. Processing: Processing ferrosilicon blocks are processed, such as crushing, grinding, etc., to obtain ferrosilicon products of different specifications.
Ferrosilicon standards. Ferrosilicon standards mainly include composition standards and physical performance standards.
1. Composition standards. The composition standards of ferrosilicon usually include silicon content, iron content, phosphorus content, sulfur content, etc. The silicon content of ferrosilicon is usually above 70%, and the iron content is about 20%. The phosphorus content and sulfur content must be controlled within a certain range to ensure the quality of ferrosilicon.
2. Physical performance standards. The physical performance standards of ferrosilicon mainly include density, melting point, thermal expansion coefficient, etc. The density of ferrosilicon is usually between 6.5-7.2g/cm3, the melting point is between 1200-1300℃, and the thermal expansion coefficient is between 10-15×10-6/℃.
Ferrosilicon production also needs to comply with relevant standards and industry standards, such as metallurgical industry standards, chemical industry standards, etc. These standards stipulate the quality requirements, testing methods and scope of use of ferrosilicon, which are of great significance to ensuring the quality and safe use of ferrosilicon.
