Silicon Mental 553 is the most widely consumed silicon grade in aluminium processsing and foundry operations,used to formulate Al-Si alloys and to improve melt fluidity and casting density.Produced from a fixed ore source under stable furance conditions,our 553 lumps hold Si above 98.5% with minimal batch-to-batch variation and controlled Fe,Al and Ca.It reduce re-melting adjustments and lowers silicon cost per tonne,making it a dependable base dependable base grade for long-term industrial supply.
Chemical Composition
Note: Si is a guaranteed minimum; Fe / Al / Ca / P / S are guaranteed maximums. Production follows GB/T 2881 and can be cross-checked against ASTM A1005 and ISO 5449. Special compositions outside the table can be produced to your internal specification. "Typical" values are recent batch averages; the Mill Test Certificate of each shipment prevails.

Packing: 1,000 kg jumbo bags with moisture-proof inner liner, or 25 kg small bags on pallets. Powder grades are packed in valve bags with stretch-wrapped pallets to prevent moisture uptake in transit.
Container loading: 20–25 MT per 20′FCL in jumbo bags. Bags are sealed and photographed, and the full loading process is video-recorded for buyer verification.
Delivery: 7–10 days for standard specifications, 15–20 days for customized sizes. FOB Tianjin / Qingdao; CFR and CIF to your nominated port available.
Documents: Mill Test Certificate with heat number, packing list, commercial invoice, Certificate of Origin (CO / FORM E). Third-party inspection can be arranged.
Certification: ISO 9001 quality management system; pre-shipment inspection by SGS, BV or Intertek available on request.

Q1:How do I choose between 553 and 441?
A: It depends on your melt tolerance for Fe and Ca. For standard ADC12 or iron-tolerant products, 553 gives the best cost-performance. For premium A356 alloys such as automotive wheels and thin-wall die castings, upgrade to 441 (Ca ≤0.1%). We can back-calculate the right grade from your alloy designation so you do not over-pay for unnecessary purity.
Q2:What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: One 20′FCL, about 20–25 MT. For trial purposes we accept 5 MT trial orders or a mixed container with different grades.
