Product Introduction

Ferrosilicon 45 (Grade: FeSi45) is an iron-silicon alloy containing 40%–47% silicon, classified under standardized ferrosilicon grades.

Appearance: Gray-white porous granules or lumps with brittle texture.

Melting Point: 1250–1360°C (lower than high-silicon grades like FeSi75).

Density: ~5.15 g/cm³ (decreases with higher Si content).

Energy Efficiency: 10%–15% lower energy consumption per unit silicon compared to FeSi75, ideal for cost-sensitive applications.

(1) Steelmaking Deoxidizer
Rapid precipitation deoxidation to reduce oxide inclusions and enhance steel purity.

(2) Foundry Inoculant

Promotes graphite nucleation and spheroidization in cast iron, improving mechanical properties.

(3) Alloying Agent

Adds silicon to structural/spring steels for increased hardness, elasticity, and oxidation resistance.

The normal package is woven bag or pack it according to customers special request.
